Safeguarding our Young People at Bradley Wood

Here at Bradley Wood, one of our key aims is to ensure that everyone who visits us are kept safe and well whilst they are with us. We take the care of young people very seriously and follow stringently the Young People First Policy which is set down by Scouting Headquarters. (copies can be seen in each of our buildings)

Any of the adults who work with young people on this site have been Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) checked, and reviewed as required.

We hold the welfare and safety of all of our visitors as a priority and follow the code of practise of having a non bullying environment. Our friendly staff promote confidence in our visitors to report any problem they may have, they are trained to act accordingly with this information.

In an emergency

Should you need to contact a young person that is staying with us at Bradley Wood, you should always contact them through the pre-named Home Contact, leader or person in charge of the group that they are with.
